Falcon Family! This is Ebenezer Lancerio, principal of Central Wilkes Middle School, with announcements covering various school events and announcements.

Home Volleyball/Soccer Game: New
Our first home Volleyball and Soccer games at home are at Central Wilkes Middle School this Monday, September 8th starting at 4pm. If your child is staying after the game, please have them come with a note signed by a parent or legal guardian to the main office so that administrators know they are staying after school. Families that are entering to watch the games can enter through the 6th grade carline. Please note that gate is now $6 in order to enter the games. You can pay with cash or card! Tap Pay via phone is also accepted. Come out and support your Central Wilkes Middle School Falcons for our first game! 

Fall Picture Day: Update
Carolina Photography will be at Central Wilkes Middle School this Tuesday to photograph Fall Underclass pictures. If you have not done so yet, you may return the order form and payment with your student on picture day sent to them last week. Online Prepay for Fall pictures is also available at Carolina Photography by entering Job Key KNGASHZE. The job key will also be listed on the student’s order form. The online prepay will be available until the end of business on picture day.

Golf, Volleyball, and Soccer Schedules

8th Grade Field Trip to Stone Mountain: New
Attention 8th Grade Parents: 8th grade students will be going on a field trip to Stone Mountain at the end of September. All permission slips and the $20 payment are due this Friday, September 12th. Parents, you may pay for the trip online using the School Cash Online Payment System or you can send cash/check to CWMS with your student. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

 
Falcon Fun FEST: New: 10/10/2025
Reserve the date! This year’s Falcon Fun Fest is Friday, October 10th. This year’s Falcon Fun Fest will have activities for all to enjoy. Over the past 2 years, we have fundraised over $23,000 that went back to students through points rewards, trips, student programs and pop up perks. We are excited to continue the tradition.  Students who fundraise $5 can participate for 30 minutes. $15 will get students 1 hour, and $25 will get students the full two hour experience! All students will have the opportunity to participate. Stay tuned for more details coming in the following weeks. 

Wilkes County Schools Culture Fest 2025: New
The Wilkes County Schools ESL Department will host CultureFest again this year on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Stone Center for the Performing Arts from 5:00 pm-7:00pm. Our goal is to unite our community and celebrate the diverse cultures within our school system. Over 20 community agencies have confirmed their attendance to provide resources to all attendees. This is a free event and is open to everyone.   
Following the success of last year, we are pleased to announce that this year's event will include Mexican folklore dance performances and free crepes (while supplies last)!  I hope you can join us for a fun-filled evening! 

CWMS Bible Club: New
Students are welcome to come to Bible Club at school every Wednesday from 7:10am to 7:30am. Email Ms. Roten at [email protected] if you have any questions. 

EF Tours Interest Meeting: New
Dear Families, In Summer 2027, we’re jetting off to Italy and Greece—and your student can be part of it! When you walk through the Roman Forum, climb the Acropolis in Athens, and visit the site of the Oracle at Delphi, you’re among some of the world’s most historically significant ancient sights. But these places offer more than just a trip to the deep past— witness more recent history at the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel and in the dramatic natural beauty of Capri. There will be a meeting at CWMS on September 16th starting at 6pm. RSVP Note: Not affiliated with Central Wilkes Middle School.

High School Football Guidelines
Please note that students attending any Wilkes County Schools High School Football games must follow the same guidelines and procedures when attending games. All middle school students must have an adult accompanying them to the game. If a child is asked where their parent/guardian is at, and they are not accompanied, they could be banned from attending any future games.

YMCA ACCESS Tutoring Program
Does your child need help in their classes? YMCA Access Academy, a FREE tutoring program, is partnering with CWMS to help! We will have some of our own certified teachers providing tutoring instruction. Get a form from the front office at school.

Attendance Procedures
If your child will be absent, please turn in a note with your child in the following three days. If your child turns in a note after three days, it will not be counted as excused. Each family gets three days of an educational opportunity trip. A parent/guardian must submit a written letter or email to Mr. Lancerio before the trip for the educational opportunity days to be excused.

Partido de Voleibol/Fútbol en Casa: Nuevo
Nuestro primer partido de voleibol y fútbol en casa se jugará en la Escuela Intermedia Central Wilkes este lunes 8 de septiembre a partir de las 4 p. m. Si su hijo/a se queda después del partido, por favor, pídale que traiga una nota firmada por uno de sus padres o tutores legales a la oficina principal para que los administradores sepan que se quedará después de clases. Las familias que entren para ver los partidos pueden hacerlo a través de la fila de autos de 6.º grado. Tenga en cuenta que la entrada ahora cuesta $6 para los partidos. ¡Puede pagar en efectivo o con tarjeta! También se acepta el pago por teléfono. ¡Venga y apoye a los Falcons de la Escuela Intermedia Central Wilkes en nuestro primer partido!

Día de Fotos de Otoño
Carolina Photography estará en la Escuela Intermedia Central Wilkes este martes para tomar fotos de otoño de los alumnos de primer año. Si aún no lo ha hecho, puede devolver el formulario de pedido y el pago con su hijo/a el día de las fotos que se le envió la semana pasada. También puede pagar por adelantado en línea para las fotos de otoño en www.carolinaphoto.net ingresando la clave de trabajo KNGASHZE. La clave del trabajo también aparecerá en el formulario de pedido del estudiante. El prepago en línea estará disponible hasta el cierre del día de la foto.

Excursión de 8.º grado a Stone Mountain
Atención, padres de alumnos de 8.º grado: Los alumnos de 8.º grado irán de excursión a Stone Mountain a finales de septiembre. Todos los permisos y el pago de $20 deben entregarse este viernes 12 de septiembre. Padres, pueden pagar la excursión en línea mediante el sistema de pago en línea de efectivo escolar o pueden enviar efectivo/cheque a CWMS con su hijo/a. Si tienen alguna pregunta o inquietud, por favor, contacten al maestro/a de su hijo/a.

FESTIVAL DE DIVERSIÓN DE FALCONES - 10/10/2025 
¡Reserven la fecha! El Festival de Diversión de FALCONES de este año será el viernes 10 de octubre. Este año, habrá actividades para que todos disfruten. En los últimos 2 años, hemos recaudado más de $23,000 que se destinaron a estudiantes a través de recompensas de puntos, viajes, programas estudiantiles y beneficios emergentes. Nos entusiasma continuar la tradición. Los estudiantes que recauden $5 podrán participar durante 30 minutos. Con $15, podrán participar durante 1 hora, y con $25, ¡la experiencia completa de dos horas! Todos los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de participar. Manténganse al tanto para más detalles en las próximas semanas.

Festival Cultural de las Escuelas del Condado de Wilkes 2025 
El Departamento de ESL de las Escuelas del Condado de Wilkes volverá a organizar el Festival Cultural este año el viernes 17 de octubre de 2025 en el Stone Center for the Performing Arts de 5:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m. Nuestro objetivo es unir a nuestra comunidad y celebrar la diversidad cultural de nuestro sistema escolar. Más de 20 agencias comunitarias han confirmado su asistencia para brindar recursos a todos los asistentes. Este evento es gratuito y está abierto a todos. Tras el éxito del año pasado, nos complace anunciar que el evento de este año incluirá presentaciones de danza folclórica mexicana y crepas gratis (hasta agotar existencias). ¡Esperamos que puedan unirse a nosotros para una noche llena de diversión!

Club Bíblico de CWMS

Reunión de Interés de EF Tours
Estimadas familias: En el verano de 2027, viajaremos a Italia y Grecia, ¡y su estudiante puede ser parte de ello! Al pasear por el Foro Romano, subir a la Acrópolis de Atenas y visitar el Oráculo de Delfos, se encontrará entre algunos de los lugares históricos más significativos del mundo. Pero estos lugares ofrecen más que un simple viaje al pasado: sean testigos de la historia más reciente en la imponente Capilla Sixtina y en la espectacular belleza natural de Capri. Habrá una reunión en CWMS el 16 de septiembre a partir de las 6 p. m. Confirmen su asistencia aquí.

Normas de fútbol americano de preparatoria
Tenga en cuenta que los estudiantes que asistan a cualquier partido de fútbol americano de preparatoria de las Escuelas del Condado de Wilkes deben seguir las mismas normas y procedimientos al asistir a los partidos. Todos los estudiantes de preparatoria deben ir acompañados de un adulto. Si a un niño se le pregunta dónde se encuentra su padre/tutor y no está acompañado, se le podría prohibir asistir a futuros partidos.

Programa de tutoría YMCA ACCESS
¿Su hijo necesita ayuda con sus clases? YMCA Access Academy, un programa de tutoría GRATUITO, se ha asociado con CWMS para ayudar. Contaremos con algunos de nuestros propios maestros certificados que impartirán tutorías. Inscríbase imprimiendo estos formularios y entréguelos en la recepción. También hay versiones impresas disponibles en la escuela.

Procedimientos de asistencia
Si su hijo/a estará ausente, por favor, entregue una nota con él/ella dentro de los tres días siguientes. Si la entrega es después de tres días, no se considerará justificada. Cada familia tiene derecho a tres días de una excursión educativa. Un padre/tutor debe enviar una carta o correo electrónico al Sr. Lancerio antes de la excursión para que se justifiquen los días de la excursión.
