Inclement Weather Protocols
Winter is here, and with it a potential for inclement weather days. Please see our inclement weather protocols. Here are some key points from the weather protocols:
There are two kinds of inclement weather days - Remote Learning Days and No School Days. Please be sure to double check the language used for the specific day assigned to an inclement weather day to ensure you know the protocol.
No School Days mean that your child does not have to complete homework on that day and they are not supposed to check in for attendance purposes. This day is treated like a Holiday.
Remote Learning Days mean that your child has to complete remote learning day activities and check in via email, Remind, or Zoom in order to be counted present for that day.
On a two hour delay, your child’s bus will arrive two hours late. Every effort will be made to make the call the day before, but this may not always be possible. There is an extensive process for making the call to modify or cancel a school day. The entire process is outlined in the letter attached to this email.
YMCA ACCESS Tutoring Program
Does your child need help in their classes? YMCA Access Academy, a FREE tutoring program, is partnering with CWMS to help! We will have some of our own certified teachers providing tutoring instruction. Printed applications are available at the school.
