Good evening, Falcon Family. This is Ebenezer Lancerio, the proud principal of Central Wilkes Middle School, with announcements covering various school events.
Home Baseball/Softball Game v NWMS Monday, 3/16 - Postponed until a later date
Game postponed for Monday, March 16th due to weather. At the next home game, concessions will be on sale at our pop up tent, and restrooms will be available inside the building in the gym. Here are a few reminders for spectators:
Please be sure to pay $6 per attendee at the gate when entering by car in the cafeteria lot. People who use the bus lot will be redirected to the cafeteria lot to receive their tickets.
Students who attend the game must attend with a trusted adult. Any student who is asked to identify a trusted adult that is found to not have one may be asked to not return to any other games for the remainder of the season.
End of the 3rd Quarter- New
The end of the third quarter is this Friday, March 20th. Grades will lock on this day, and report cards will go home on Wednesday, March 25th.
Spring Pictures tomorrow Monday, March 16th - Update
Spring pictures are tomorrow, Monday, March 16th. Every student will be taking a picture. A proof of these pictures will be sent home with every child in the coming weeks.
Nascar STEAM Expo Field Trip March 26th
Charlotte Motor Speedway is pleased to announce the third annual STEAM Expo at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway on Thursday, March 26th for ALL students with free admission. The Expo will feature hands-on STEAM stations in force, motion, physics, engineering, robotics, and more. Permission slips for this field trip were due this past Friday, March 6th. If you have not turned in your permission slip, please turn it in ASAP!
Tutors Needed between 7:45am and 8:30am
We need you for our morning academic intervention and enrichment program! We are seeking parent and community volunteers to serve as tutors for students who need additional targeted support in Reading, Math, and social/emotional development. Tutors will work with small groups of students to reinforce grade-level skills, build confidence, and strengthen foundational math, literacy, and social skills. Recreational Softball Registration through WCS Rec Sports - New
If your child is interested in signing up for recreational softball through the Wilkes County Recreational Department, please see the forms at Wilkes County Rec Department.
YMCA ACCESS Tutoring Program - Reminder
Does your child need help in their classes? YMCA Access Academy, a FREE tutoring program, is partnering with CWMS to help! We will have some of our own certified teachers providing tutoring instruction. Printed applications are available at the school.
