Home Baseball/Softball Game v Starmount 3/26 at 4pm - New
Our next home Baseball and Softball games of the season are at Central Wilkes Middle School on Thursday, March 26th starting at 4pm. Concessions will be on sale at our pop up tent, and restrooms will be available inside the building in the gym. Here are a few reminders for spectators:
Please be sure to pay $6 per attendee at the gate when entering by car in the cafeteria lot. People who use the bus lot will be redirected to the cafeteria lot to receive their tickets.
Students who attend the game must attend with a trusted adult. Any student who is asked to identify a trusted adult that is found to not have one may be asked to not return to any other games for the remainder of the season.
Start of the Fourth Quarter 3/23/2026 - New
The fourth and last quarter of the school year starts tomorrow, March 23rd.
Spring Break starts Friday, 4/3/2026 - New
The last day of school before spring break is on Thursday, April 2nd. Spring Break officially begins on Friday, April 3rd and concludes on Sunday, April 12th. School resumes on a normal schedule on Monday, April 13th.
Nascar STEAM Expo Field Trip this March 26th - Update
Charlotte Motor Speedway is pleased to announce the third annual STEAM Expo at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway this Thursday, March 26th for all students with free admission. Permission slips were due two weeks ago and are no longer being accepted. The weather will be a low of 52 when we arrive, but will quickly climb to 67 degrees by 11:30 when we leave. Please plan for your child to bring a light layer for the morning. Concessions will be on sale. We recommend bringing anywhere between $10 and $20 for concessions. There will be free lunch available on behalf of the school.
Tutors Needed between 7:45am and 8:30am
We need you for our morning academic intervention and enrichment program! We are seeking parent and community volunteers to serve as tutors for students who need additional targeted support in Reading, Math, and social/emotional development. Tutors will work with small groups of students to reinforce grade-level skills, build confidence, and strengthen foundational math, literacy, and social skills. YMCA ACCESS Tutoring Program - Reminder
Does your child need help in their classes? YMCA Access Academy, a FREE tutoring program, is partnering with CWMS to help! We will have some of our own certified teachers providing tutoring instruction. Printed applications are available at the school.
