Good evening, Falcon Family. This is Ebenezer Lancerio, the proud principal of Central Wilkes Middle School, with announcements covering various school events.
Baseball/Softball Game v Ashe at WCHS 04/02 at 4:30pm - New
Our next home Baseball and Softball games of the season are at WILKES CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL on Thursday, April 2nd starting at 4:30pm. All CWMS school rules apply at the game. Here are a few reminders for spectators:
Please be sure to pay $6 per attendee at the gate when entering by car.
Students who attend the game must attend with a trusted adult. Any student who is asked to identify a trusted adult that is found to not have one may be asked to not return to any other games for the remainder of the season.
Spring Break starts Friday, 4/3/2026 - New
The last day of school before spring break is on Thursday, April 2nd. Spring Break officially begins on Friday, April 3rd and concludes on Sunday, April 12th. School resumes on a normal schedule on Monday, April 13th.
Q3 PBIS Trip Tomorrow and Tuesday - New
It’s showtime! All students eligible for the Quarter 3 PBIS Rewards Trip will travel to the Liberty Theatre to watch Disney Pixar’s Hoppers. 7th grade will travel on Monday morning, 8th grade will travel on Monday afternoon, and 6th grade will go on Tuesday afternoon.
Tutors Needed between 7:45am and 8:30am
We need you for our morning academic intervention and enrichment program! We are seeking parent and community volunteers to serve as tutors for students who need additional targeted support in Reading, Math, and social/emotional development. Tutors will work with small groups of students to reinforce grade-level skills, build confidence, and strengthen foundational math, literacy, and social skills. YMCA ACCESS Tutoring Program
Does your child need help in their classes? YMCA Access Academy, a FREE tutoring program, is partnering with CWMS to help! We will have some of our own certified teachers providing tutoring instruction. Printed applications are available at the school.
