Good afternoon, Falcon Family. This is Ebenezer Lancerio, the proud principal of Central Wilkes Middle School, with announcements covering various school events.
Last Day of School Details - New
The last day of school is this Thursday, June 4th. Students will be dismissed at 1pm. Before leaving for the summer, students will receive their report cards for the year. We wish everyone a great week of school and a happy Summer ahead!
8th Grade Promotion 6/4 at 8:30am
Our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held on June 4th at 8:30am in the Central Wilkes Middle School Gymnasium. Doors will open at 7:45am. Please plan to park on the bus lot side of the building (2nd entrance to the school, not the stoplight entrance). Overflow parking will be available in the cafeteria parking lot to accommodate our morning carlines. Seats will fill up fast so be sure to arrive early. Students are expected to dress business casual for the event - if you have any questions or need support in this regard please reach out to one of our counselors or your child's homeroom teacher. We are looking forward to celebrating with all of you!
WCHS Athletic Summer Camps - New
Interested in playing sports at the high school level? WCHS has summer camps planned for this summer! Check out their website for more information as it becomes available.
S.O.A.R. / Robotics Summer Camp - New
From Mr. Weaver and Ms. Colglazier: We will be hosting the CWMS Robotics Camp between August 10-13, 2026 from 9am-2pm. The cost will be $65. Students are responsible for their own morning snack, lunch, and transportation to and from the camp. The camp is limited to 14 students, so register today! Yearbook Update -New
Parents, Due to the majority of our yearbooks being damaged during shipping, our distribution days have been pushed back. The following will be the days and times for pre-purchased yearbook distribution. If there are extra books available for purchase after pre-purchased distribution, students on the waitlist will be contacted in first come, first served order. Please contact Mrs. Albertino at [email protected] before 6/2/2026 to get on the waitlist or if you have questions.
Thursday, June 2nd: Eighth grade yearbook distribution for 8th grade students who did not purchase a name stamp will be on Tuesday, June 2nd. Unfortunately, the box with name stamped yearbooks was one of the damaged boxes so we are unable to distribute yearbooks with namestamps until June 9th.
Tuesday, June 9th: Eighth grade students who purchased name stamped books and all seventh grade students who purchased books may pick up their yearbooks from 8:30 to 11:30 AM.
Wednesday, June 10th: All sixth grade students may pick up yearbooks from 8:30 to 11:30 AM.
