Good evening, Falcon Family! This message will repeat in English, then in Spanish. Este mensaje se repetirá en español después de ingles. This is Ebenezer Lancerio, principal of Central Wilkes Middle School, with announcements covering various school events.
1. Track and Field Tryout Correction
There was an error on Sunday’s announcement on the track and field try out dates. The correct Ttrack and field tryout dates are Tuesday, February 20th and Wednesday, February 21st from 4:00-6:00pm. There will be an interest meeting for all students during Win-Win time this Friday, February 9th. Family ID and a sports physical is required to try out!
2. Valentine’s Day Dance
CWMS will be hosting a Valentine’s Dance for all CMWS students this Friday, February 9th from 3:45pm-5:30pm. Students must have a signed permission slip and they must have paid $5 to attend the dance. We will sell tickets for $5 until Thursday, February 8th @ 8am - all forms and money must be turned in by then. Tickets WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Please see your HR teacher for a permission slip. Concessions will be sold. Come join us for an afternoon of fun! Parents, please be sure to make arrangements to pick up your child at 5:30pm. We will follow normal after school pick up procedures after the dance. If you have a sixth grader, you can proceed to the back of the building towards the 6th grade pick up line. 7th and 8th grade students can be picked up in front of the school at the 7th and 8th grade carline.
3. Candygram Sale
The EC department is also selling Candygrams tomorrow during all lunches for $1. Students will have the opportunity to send candy and a message to other students in the school. Candygram orders will be delivered by Friday after lunches. Don’t miss this opportunity to spread the love this month!

¡Buenas tardes familia Falcón! Soy Ebenezer Lancerio, director de Central Wilkes Middle School, con sus anuncios semanales cubriendo eventos.
1. Corrección de pruebas de pista y campo
Hubo un error en el anuncio del domingo sobre las fechas de prueba de atletismo. Las fechas correctas para las pruebas del atletismo son el martes 20 de febrero y el miércoles 21 de febrero de 4:00 a 6:00 p.m. Habrá una reunión de interés para todos los estudiantes durante el horario de ganar-ganar este viernes 9 de febrero. ¡Se requiere identificación familiar y un examen físico deportivo para probar!
2. Baile de San Valentín
CWMS organizará un baile de San Valentín para todos los estudiantes de CMWS este viernes 9 de febrero de 3:45 pm. a 5:30 pm. Los estudiantes deben tener un permiso firmado y deben haber pagado $5 para asistir al baile. Venderemos boletos por $5 hasta el jueves 8 de febrero a las 8 am; todos los formularios y el dinero deben entregarse antes de esa fecha. LAS ENTRADAS NO SE VENDERÁN EN PUERTA. Consulte a su maestro de Homeroom para obtener un formulario de permiso. Se venderán las concesiones.
