CWMS Weekly Announcement 03/24/2024
Good evening, Falcon Family! This is Ebenezer Lancerio, principal of Central Wilkes Middle School, with announcements covering school events.
1. STEAM Expo this Wednesday, 3/27/24
Parents, our school-wide field trip to the NASCAR STEAM expo at the North Wilkesboro Speedway is THIS Wednesday, March 27th. Please note that your child will be out of school between 10:45am to 2:30pm if they signed all the required paperwork. In the event you need to pick up your child from the North Wilkesboro Speedway, you can travel to the Speedway and pick them up at the registration tent. Any child that has not turned in their paperwork will stay at school instead of traveling to the speedway.
To ensure your child has the best experience at the Expo, ensure they dress appropriately for the weather that day, which calls for an average temperature of 50 degrees with some light showers before noon. We recommend your child bring a rain jacket with added layers.
We’re very excited for your child to be attending and learning about careers in STEAM, and participating in the various activities they’ll have to offer!
2. Baseball/Softball Game v EWMS - 3/25/24 at 4:00PM
Our next home Baseball and Softball games at Central Wilkes Middle School are tomorrow, March 25th versus East Wilkes Middle School starting at 4pm. Please be sure to pay $5 at the gate when entering by car. Come out and support your Central Wilkes Middle School Falcons!
3. Spring Break - Friday, 3/29 - Monday, 4/8 *return on Monday, April 8
Spring break starts this Friday, March 29th and students will return on Monday, April 8th. School will not be in operation.
4. CWMS Career Accelerator Summer Camps - 6/17/24 - 7/18/24
Calling all rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students - Central Wilkes Middle School will be hosting FOUR exciting camps this summer FREE of charge! Transportation is also provided. Don’t miss your chance to sign up for a camp this summer. Each camp is at least one week long, and has limited availability. You can sign up for a camp that matches your interests in NASCAR, Health Science, Robotics, Digital Photography, and Journalism! Sign up today using the Google Form Registration Form. Registration runs through April 26th!

¡Buenas tardes familia Falcón! Soy Ebenezer Lancerio, director de Central Wilkes Middle School, con sus anuncios semanales cubriendo eventos.
1. STEAM Expo este miércoles 03/27/24
Padres, nuestra excursión escolar a la exposición NASCAR STEAM en el North Wilkesboro Speedway es ESTE miércoles 27 de marzo. Tenga en cuenta que su hijo estará fuera de la escuela entre las 10:45 a.m. y las 2:30 p.m. si firmó toda la documentación requerida. En caso de que necesite recoger a su hijo/a en el North Wilkesboro Speedway, puede viajar al Speedway y recogerlo/a en la carpa de registro. Cualquier niño/a que no haya entregado su documentación permanecerá en la escuela en lugar de viajar a la pista.
Para garantizar que su hijo tenga la mejor experiencia en la Expo, asegúrese de que se vistan apropiadamente para el clima de ese día, que requiere una temperatura promedio de 50 grados con algunas lluvias ligeras antes de las 12. Recomendamos que su hijo traiga una chaqueta impermeable con capas adicionales.

2. Juego de béisbol/softbol contra EWMS - 03/25/24 a las 4:00 pm
Nuestros próximos juegos de béisbol y sóftbol en casa son mañana, el 25 de marzo contra East Wilkes Middle School a partir de las 4 p.m. Asegúrese de pagar $5 en la puerta cuando ingrese en automóvil. ¡Ven y apoya a tus Falcons de Central Wilkes Middle School!
3. Vacaciones de primavera: viernes, 03/29 - lunes, 04/8 (los estudiantes regresan)

4. Campamentos de verano de CWMS Career Accelerator - 6/17/24 - 7/18/24
Llamando a todos los estudiantes que ingresan a 6.º, 7.º y 8.º grado: ¡CWMS organizará CUATRO campamentos este verano GRATIS! También se ofrece transporte gratis. No pierdas la oportunidad de inscribirte en un campamento este verano. Cada campamento dura al menos una semana y tiene disponibilidad limitada. ¡Puedes inscribirte en un campamento que coincida con tus intereses en NASCAR, Ciencias de la Salud, Robótica, Fotografía Digital y Periodismo! Regístrese hoy utilizando el formulario de registro de Google. ¡La inscripción estará abierta hasta el 26 de abril!
