Car Line Procedures
Mornings
In an effort to continue to improve the efficiency of our car line, seventh and eighth-grade students arriving each morning should be dropped off in the front car line. Sixth Grade students will be dropped in the back car line on the cafeteria side of the gym each afternoon. In order to reach this car line, parents should bear to the left as they enter our main entrance and then follow the flow of traffic. Adults will be stationed in the car line each morning to greet students and parents and to encourage students to unload as soon as their cars stop along our front sidewalk. Car line begins at 7:10 and ends at 7:45 each morning. We request that no students arrive on campus prior to 7:10 a.m. Please have your child remain in the car until a staff member is visibly present on car duty.
Car Line Procedures
Afternoons
Seventh and Eighth Grade students will be picked up in front of the school. Students will be standing and waiting behind the green line. Do not stop your car as soon as you see your child, as this will cause our car line to back up into the road. Instead, pull up as far as possible in the car line, and your child will walk up the sidewalk to your car. This enables our car line to move at a quicker pace.
Sixth Grade students will be picked up in the back car line on the cafeteria side of the gym each afternoon. In order to reach this car line, parents should bear to the left as they enter our main entrance and then follow the flow of traffic. Students will load along the sidewalk as cars come to a complete stop. If a parent is picking up students in multiple grade levels, the children should report to the oldest child’s car line.
Bus Rider Procedures
Morning:
Bus riders may enter the building at 7:00 am and wait with staff members on duty. Students will be dismissed at 7:20 am to go through the breakfast line and then to homeroom.
